Troubled PC version
I finally upgraded to Unity 2020. That caused some problems with Steam VR but I was able to find solutions to most of those. Still took me longer than I would have liked.
The original PC release didn't get as much quality assurance as the Quest releases and this one didn't either though I spend more time on it than before. Unfortunately there seem to be quite a few bugs when played through Steam VR and some are game breaking.
I had already noticed that gaze aiming (for menu selections) was weird in Virtual Desktop (which turns my Quest into a Steam VR headset for the purposes of what Unity XR plugin is used) in the last version. I'm not sure how many of the issues I noticed this time are actually new or if they were also in the last version already.
Stuff I observed: Some sounds are muted in some instances. Collecting coins with the index finger button sometimes doesn't work (you can still hit them with your head though). Attaching to moving bricks doesn't seem to work (this is game breaking).
Unfortunately with these bugs I cannot recommend playing the game on SteamVR. And although bugs usually are fixable it is hard to guess how long that will take beforehand. So instead of further delaying the release of this update I decided to release the current version (which should be fine on Rift/Rift S at least).
I was hoping I could release my Quest game on PC as well without too much time and effort but I might only provide Quest versions going forward. Versions for other platforms will probably have to wait until the game is finished.
